I cleaned the carpet today in the living room.
Then it was back out to crochet and watch the humminbirds.

Oh I had to yell at the kid next door to turn down the noise he was listening to. I had the house closed up and the air on and was using the carpet cleaner and I could hear the noise in my hosue like I was playing.

Yes, but so is here and there and lots of places. As Mark says after 3 years you get 'islanditis'. He had to build a boat and escape!Gah
We get bad weather, but so 'Michael Fish' will tell you, we don't get hurricanes.Doh
I'm too busy to enjoy todays lovely weather or get a glimpse of that blasted air show!
5am he was up again Negative feeding the ground crew.

Ummmm 'islanditis'? You do realize England is an island? Rofl

I grew up on an island - Staten Island.

But don't say it...... I know you're going to tell me there is a difference between a tiny tropical island than the ones we live/d on! We have large land masses nearby to escape onto, Bermuda is isolated.

Sorry, but I can live on a tiny tropical or sub-tropical island and never look back! I don't blame your friend one bit for staying!

Yes, of course, very difficult to invade :p
At least you can actually walk away from the sea and get a different view (fields/moors/mountains) without that little glimpse of the sea in the corner of your eye. Good
21 miles isn't even long enough to run a full marathon on! Do you know they have to run part of the route twice? Kez

I fell in love with Bermuda, I love islands and I agree I would live on one (smaller than UK) but although Sara has no trouble in her insular world under Gibbs Lighthouse after awhile even she has to fly somewhere, and that is the only way off with any speed, with a hurricane looming. Help

Our 'bestest' friends live on Isle of Wight all of a 3/4 hour ferry from Southhampton. After trying to do a couple of mercy dashes to the mainland they are finding that 'lovely desert-island feeling' was leaving them a bit jaded. They had to force themselves onto the winter ferry in February to get to us in daylight, there are only three crossings.

The Isles of Silly are beautiful, almost equal to Bermuda, they use real money and have tropical weather and all of an hour or so from Lands End. They also have crap winters.

I had the bright Idea of trying to mow my own lawn today. I got halfway through before asthma told me to stop.

I am more tan for it though, but I wanted to mow a little area so I can tan and swim when I get too hot. it's 91° F outside right now and perfect tanning weather before Bob hits us and cools things off!

I can't remember when I last mowed the 'lawn' (or the scrubby bit with grass and unwanted flora) for that very reason, hayfever. So I have 5 little gardeners Wink They do a brilliant job and no grass clippings to mulch either.

Well, i caught my breath and went back outside to float around in the pool. I am even more tan. The water is simply gorgeous and I am hoping my new brown skin will make Matt take me out on a date tonight.

He starts a week's vacation today!

I cut the grass and trimmed the grass today. I was nice tanning out there too. Then we went out on the boat had a nice evening on the lake.

But now my hand hurts from trimming!
