as America has. It IS possible to run cars on water. Plain old water and it's been done. That is not appealing because someone's pockets cannot get lined in the process and fueling stations, oil companies and other giant conglomerates will not be able to sell water that we can get on tap at home.

Apparently in the zeal to appease the militant environmentalists in finding a solution fast is not gaining any useful ground but doing more damage.

'Environmentally-friendly' biofuels are more harmful to the planet than normal fossil fuel <-- click headline to read full story.

'Environmentally-friendly' biofuels have been found to be more harmful to the planet than normal fossil fuel.
A new government study shows that the Department of Transport's aim to increase the level of biofuel in fuel sold across Britain will result in millions of acres of forest being burned down and turned into plantations.
The findings of the study showed that using palm oil instead of fossil fuel increase emissions by 31 per cent, failing to meet the European Commission standard of each litre of biofuel reducing emissions by 35 per cent.

Oh yeah.

Remember Shell are a Dutch company who have no genuine interest in alternative fuels at all.

All the oil companies care about is amounting as many pounds, euros and dollars as they can, and that's about it.

I wonder how much they spend every year suppressing the fact you can run a car on water?

If I remember correctly several OPEC companies joined together and bought out the patent and copyrights for something like 500 million US Dollars.

I'm going to try to find the article... In a forum I belonged to back in 2005, someone posted a link and video to a man who developed a clean car running on water and he had a meeting with President Bush to propose this idea and move it forward to production. It used a TABLESPOON of water like per day or some ridiculously low number per Tbsp.

I've tried to find this a few times since, even on that (now closed) forum to no avail.

I've a friend who has friends I met at a function of his who were developing a car that ran on water as well but I have no idea if that ever amounted to anything.

No, I wholeheartedly believe that true progress is being thwarted by big corporations because they don't want to lose a dime.

Maybe that's why I can't find that article I saw? Was it from an old man? It was some old guy who developed this.
