I have to admit......I've used ether to do the same thing for folks with quads out in the woods.

I can't see a picture but going by the replies I assume someone used lighter fluid to seat a tire? I've used it and used starting fluid (Ether) to do the same thing too.

Thats how we used to do it too. Only when we would break the tire down we used a bumper jack, a word not used much any more, and the flat plate we would keep nice and close to the rim and jack up the car. Using a plank is easier but if your'e stranded you can't do it that way.
