So today I got another one of those fucking annoying robo calls about "my credit card debt". I dont' have credit card debt but I was feeling a little mischievous and took the call as far as I can. Wound up making a call to the FBI on this one. And they suggested I call the number on the secret service website.

This nice Jewish boy named Jason with the Pakistani accent was so kind to try to help me reduce my debt. First he needed my name, credit card number etc. When I started asking HIM what card was he referring to, he tried to get me to tell him my card info again. So then asked him why his parents named him after some jew.

HE LOST HIS SHIT - seriously lost his shit and said, FUCK AMERICA. FUCK YOU, DEATH TO YOU AND I'M GOING TO KILL PRESIDENT TRUMP.

Seriously, he was ranting. so of course I prodded him more. I cursed at him in Arabic - told him to go fuck his god, then in Italian I told him he fucks dead people. He threatened the president more.

Now I Know this guy most likely won't be able to do a damn thing but I do know it's a crime to threaten the president. Like him or not, you don't call me from some third world shit-hole and threaten me and my president.

When I told the FBI agent about what I said to him, he couldn't hold back his giggle. I taught him how to say those words when he asked.

He said this kind of call qualifies to be promoted to the terrorism department and transferred me.

I think now when any of these robo calls comes in, I may do this. fuck it. Chuck Schumer broke his promise to stop these robo calls and he is now too busy protecting those who are not American citizens.

Find and call your local FBI office whenever these scammers ask you to input your phone number. Those robo calls do not have your number when they call, so don't buy the bullshit they hand you about inputting your number to be taken off their call list.

I've never had one request that I put my phone number in. The usual garbage about 'credit card debt'. They hang up if you ask how they got your number. Or usually if you say you don't have debt. I don't have any debt. Sometimes it's just a computer, and you get put on hold right away. I did get one guy to actually cuss me out. Lately the scam revolves around the one hotel I stayed at when my son got married and joined their rewards program to get a better deal. The latest phone numbers are all spoofed so that they have the same three number prefix as mine. Like I will trust them more because our phone number are closer. Morons. But anymore I just hang up, block and report the number. NOBODY gets my info. I am not worried about the scams, but sometimes I do worry about my dad getting caught in something...

Well, you can now send someone a bag of dicks. I think Chuck Schumer qualifies right now for breaking his promise to stop these calls.

I usually just hang up and block the call. Reporting it does nothing. The Do Not CAll list is nothing but bullshit now.

And fyi - ever since I made that report my spam calls dropped in half.

I'm not one for more laws and regulations, but I think the anti-spoofing laws need to be strengthened. It is illegal to misrepresent your number only in a very narrow set of circumstances.

I agree, but these people are looking to scam you and commit a crime. Crank calls saying "Is your refrigerator running?" and laugh as you tell them "well you better go catch it" is one thing, but trying to gain your info to steal your identity or whatever else they're trying to do with it is another and to me when they're outside the country it's more egregious.
