Here's Belle

Last week a little kitty just appeared on our side porch. We're 99% sure someone dropped her off.

The tip of her tail appears to have been broken but is healed now. We lured her inside and after only a few days she has made herself at home. She MUST have been around a dog or dogs because Rufus didn't phase her at all and as a matter of fact she likes him.

We have named her Belle and regardless of the circumstances of her arrival, she now has a home.

She's just adorable. Looks very much like my old girl Furry from like 30 years ago. Her fur looks very silky!

She has very soft fur!

At first she carried her tail down but now when she walks it's at full staff which indicates a happy cat.

All the other cats like her and Bo is a bit protective of her. If the king likes her then she is for sure accepted into the family. I found him grooming her and purring.

As yet she's not all that interested in lap sitting or being held but each day that's changing. I think that within a month or so she'll pick a lap to curl up on in the evenings.

She has settled in and is happy as can be.

The other kitties like her and she plays with all of them. She has no reservations about Rufus and he likes her too. Kinda funny when she walks up to the big puppy and just rubs against him.

Here's an update on Belle.

She's certain that she is in charge and as such we call her the princess.  She's rather chubby for her height but she isn't a fat cat.  Rather she is pretty solid. 
We thought at first that she had Maine Coon in her genetics but as she has gotten a little older we noticed that her ears and facial shape/profile, which does fit one of the 3 "forest breeds", is much more like a Siberian Forest Cat than either Maine Coon or Norwegian Forest Cat.

She's a lovely party colored calico! I had one similar that liked to sleep in the dish drain on the counter. I should find that pic of her in there
