You might be able to still save that plant, get it in the right lighting, make sure it's potted correctly, and keep it away from cats.

Back in Tennessee the apartment we had for a while came with a bay window. We turned it into an indoor garden, lots of flowers, some bonsai, and vines I very carefully cultivated to become living curtains.

I'm trying Viz. I never had a problem with plants and cats until Wobbles came along. Everything is up high in hangers on the ceiling now. I took that one down to give it a good soaking, which it needed and left it in the sun. Little wisenheimer got the last leaf sometime yesterday.

Devilish little kitty, isn't she?

I think she's too smart for her own good.

You have no idea LK! She figured out there is an alternative "kiss" to give that gets lots of attention. Sofie does this perversely cute "head bunk" thing and looks up at you with big, loving eyes for her kisses. Well, determined never to be left out of the hugs and kisses, Wobbles figured out how that's done and added that to her lip to lip kisses repertoire!

Smart little thing she is!

Try adding some plants to the mix specifically for Wobbles. Use it as camouflage to protect other plants. I have a defensive row of cat grass (oats) and wheat grass near most of the favorite hang-outs. ...Of course, not to mention the odd cat nip or aloe plant mixed-in for variety.

They like to chew on plants, the fresh chlorophyll is good for them... they have no idea those plants you want to keep are not there as a buffet or toy for them. So, give 'em what they want... and they "may" kill less of the plants you want to keep.

I'd offer a suggestion for the wrecking-crew issue, but my solution created a new problem. I used bigger and bigger planters, so that they could not knock over my little plants. My fur kids interpreted this as an invitation... for a new litter box... a fresh mulch litter box.

It's hard to decided which I appreciate more... this behavior, or those puke bombs.

Oh god, my mom had that happen.

This little plant is actually making a comeback! I got two new leaves busting through and I need to put it into a smaller pot so it forces the roots to cram and make leaves out of the soil instead. I wasn't holding up much hope but that plant is very slow growing as it is.

My mistake was keeping it on a shelf instead of hanging it off the ceiling with the others. Although Wobbles does think that launching herself off the window sill upwards will yield her some greenery. Fat little fucker fails every time Giggle
