But I get to look for another this spring.

I'm gonna guess that like most gear heads they tire of the same project and need something that needs more work done on it.

Kinda bingo. I'm looking for a 68 Barracuda. Not a 70 that everyone else likes. I almost got one but someone got it for 200.00 more than my highest bid. When I think about it I would have gone 201.00 it was a few towns away and all stock from down south so the body was good. I got rid of the chevelle for 1000.00 more than I paid for it and all I really did was re-upholster the inside and get tires for it so I broke even and got to drive it for 6 yrs.
I'm messing with an 89 4wd Montero I got for free and after replacing the shocks tires, brakes, tons of electronic stuff, fuel pump, and tires brakes new axles, battery, back window etc its almost done for winter.

I drove one of those Montero's when they first came out back in what? 86? Somewhere around there. It was a weird feeling even though I always drove vans and trucks. I felt "perched up high" in it even though it was smaller than what I was used to driving. Handled nice though and it was nice and roomy inside. It was my bosses and I had to drive him to the airport and take the car back for him.

You sold the Chevelle because you got tired of people calling it a Cutlass. Run

I really, really like the idea of the 'Cuda. You better keep us updated on what you get and do with it.

I wonder if that was like the old wreck my uncle had to get him to the train station during the week, I know it was a Barracuda, in green, with half the boot (trunk) missing due to winter weathering from the roads.

I loved it, so disappointed when my aunt got her new top of the range (she never had anything else) Pontiac packed for a weekend trip to Washington
