Should I bring back the contests?

I have already decided that if you join the Death Pool (you should have gotten an invite from me from About 2 Croak) you already know I'll be giving away a TK.com Tshirt for next year's death pool winner.

For those that are new to the site, we used to have a yearly baby contest. You match the face with the baby pic for a prize.

Should I bring back the baby pic contest? If so, I will need your adult and baby pics - instructions will be in the contest thread.
Contest is for the month of January, so think quick!

Should I bring back Fact or Crap?
That was always for fun but we can make it a tournament like we tried with the Trivia.
We can hash out details on that if we bring it back.
For those who are new, Fact or Crap was a live game that took place once a week at a designated time in the chat room.

I also had done various other little contests so vote and make comments please. Time is of the essence!

One to consider is an investment game.

If any are interested I'd have no problem setting it up and administering it. I know of a very good one which would allow us many options. It could run monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual and the start cash amount can be varied as well.

We could go for simply bragging rights or anything that would be agreeable to all.

No baby pics...no childhood pics...nothing before high school.

The investment game:

Each player is given a set amount of start money, just like in Monopoly.
You may "buy" stocks from NYSE, AMEX or NASDAQ.

You manage your portfolio just as you would if you were really investing in the real world. You may short sell, day trade, hedge or anything else just as if it were real.

Results are posted throughout the day and the game opens and closes for live trading at the same time as the markets do. You may buy and sell after market close but......the trade will not take place until the market resumes trading the next business day.

I would set up a "private" game which would be open only to our members (just like the death pool).

The game can be set run for a month, quarter, semi-annual, annual or endless.

For the forum I'd opt for either a monthly or quarterly game.

Jilly nothing around here is too competitive! I mean, it's not like I'm giving away gold or anything - it's only a tshirt! How bloodthirsty can it get?

Just join and play. They're kind of fun and a little competition is good for the spirit!

OMG I found the GREATEST plugin for us! It's a CONTEST plugin! It will make running the contests so freakin' easy for me/us.

LKTraz - I found some other things regarding the investment idea.... some of the plugins I found for us include banking and shops etc..... when I had my pet forum I installed a shopping plaza that let members have a little virtual shopping fun. It included a bank.

If I can find the right plugins, I can possibly make this investment game even better because we would actually use the money we earned by posting on the board to spend for our investments!

I shall report when my investigation of all this is concluded.

I like the `team` games like we play in LK`s game house ....I `m quite happy there , coming and going ....nothing too strenuous for my little brain box.
