Well wasn't that just special?

Pretty sure they didn't argue about the ten commandments. Particularly "Thou shalt not kill".

But then it IS Chicago. How's that strict gun control working again?

I think it's time my dealer got someone else to fix wheels.

Appointment to fix paint two weeks ago and we were going to do the wheels at that time. Idiot only did one of the three damaged.
Made appointment for last Wednesday. Guy cancelled on them.
Drove in today, waiting for ride home, guy cancels again.
Maybe next week?

I told them I'm leaving the guy a bill for my time.

Went to a Star Trek 50th party Saturday. MeTV had Svengoolie showing The Cage instead of a horror movie. I made the cupcakes. Biggrin

How to stop pushy salesmen once you tell them you're not interested:
Keep them engaged in inane conversation for at least 1/2 hour wasting their time. When it looks like they're about to wriggle out of this trap, ask a question about the product you don't want. They'll jump at the chance you'll maybe cave. Keep that going until YOU are tired of the game and then abruptly say you gotta go.

Where are you meeting these pushy salesmen? Is this an east coast thing? On the phone I hang up, at my door, I close it, out in the world I just keep doing what I was doing.

I inquired about solar panels about a month ago. Took 3 weeks to get a salesman here, and he failed on his promise to get me a package of information in a "couple of days". Got a call today asking if I was ready to sit down and discuss. Seriously? this is a month later, not a few days and why does it take more than that initial visit to show me plans and numbers? Nope, you lost a sale.

Besides that, for us going solar is not worth it. Our bill will be around the same that we are paying on the budget plan monthly now with the added cost of more holes in my new roof, out of pocket cost to me if I decide to do any work on my house for them to remove and reinstall the panels ($500 per!) and I'll be getting TWO separate electric bills.

We do not limit ourselves on our usage. We run the pool, use the AC as needed and we are ahead of the game and when the end of year statement comes around, we usually have two full months of $0.00 bills. Not bad and no bullshit included.
