I ate one of those muffin cup papers with my muffin this morning on accident. It was pretty upsetting looking at my shit that I took over the afternoon and finding an abnormal piece of material in it. Nothing like panicking you just shat a tumor for a few moments till it comes apart in the bowl and you see it unravel, realizing it was a muffin cup paper. I almost wasted a trip to the ER.

I'm still wondering what does all this highly 'expanding' water has to do with the need to purchase new cookware? Did your previous set promote this sort of thing?

Yes, as I stated in the first post where I said I bought new pans:

You're gonna love the Calphalon cookware!
We have a set and it's fanfuckingtastic!

Whatever you do though......DO NOT put it in a dishwasher and only use butter or olive/vegetable/corn oil in it. Anything else will damage the coating.

Please try to imagine someone never having this problem. I have never had anything remotely akin to what you are talking about. I do a lot of cooking, and have for years, but never water doing anything remotely like that.

I guess this cook stuff is microwave safe?
I once have a coffee explode on me as I added milk to it from the microwave. Hence I no longer heat liquids like that in the microwave.

So we got a new guy in the building, second level supervisor for the maintenance side of the house and I was stopped in the hallway on my way to the bathroom to be introduced. I told him he looked familiar, he said where he had worked and said "maybe I've seen you in my dreams" and started snickering like an idiot. Poor kid, he's like 20 years younger than me, he must have been horrified.

I'm still laughing about it.

No Trudi, the pots and pans are NOT microwave safe. This was happening on the cooktop/gas burners with these pots.
What you experienced with your coffee and milk IS EXACTLY exploding water.

I recently read that if you add something to the water, like a tea bag, then it doesn't explode in the microwave.
