Jon Corzine is at it again with some more missing money. Go figure. Are you surprised?

Chris Christie came into office as governor of NJ and had a tougher job than he imagined when he found out all the monies Corzine brought in via new taxes for roads and other projects went missing. Now Corzine is back on Wall St running MF Global and guess what? Money is missing and the company went belly up.

Reading the comments on the page #22 was very interesting.

Quote:"..........a fundamental tenet of Wall Street regulation: Customers’ money must be kept separate from company money". Isn't this ineresting. You can't Mix monies!! Oh My!!!

Why did congress give the Wall Street Bankers access to depositors money in 1999?? This is one of the reasons why there is a OWS movement.

The American depositor was protected by the Glass-Steagall Act of 1932. Monies (from commerical banks, inother words, deposits)couldn't MIX with Investment Banks monies. This law protected us until 1999. That year, the Glass–Steagall Act was repealed and the Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act in 1999 was put in its placed removing that protection. The speculating bankers can now use your money on deposit for investment purposes. In fact, 60 trillion dollars of derivative contracts were transfered from MLynch (investment arm of BofA) to its retail arm which has 1.2 Trillion in deposits. Oh! If there is a credit event on the 60 Trillion and the Bank collapses and this most likely will happen, the depositors are 2nd in line to collect their money. Wake up America!! Who said bankers are stupid.

Waiting for someone to blame GWB on this one. Wait - he wasn't even president yet.

Well, he's under federal investigation and it turns out there is even more money lost - like 1.2 BILLION dollars or more.

I guess the people here aren't interested in politics, like over at ai-jane, don't you think?

And you are right, he is a consummate Asshole, and I hope the Dumbasses win next year, and he is fully investigated. he deserves everything he gets IMO.

This place is more for relaxation and commeraderie than the heavy politics over at your place. We like to keep it 'light' here. It seems to work for us. Smile

Lol, you are such a grouchy old man. Gotta love how easy it is to push your buttons you old fool!

You demonstrate your failure well by how easily you slip into profanity. You are a hypocrite John.

Insulting your hostess is kind of rude, don't you think?
I like my brand of 'dullness'. So do all the other members.

You might do well to read the rules, John. This is not a flame site and the unwarranted name calling is not appreciated here. This isn't the first time you pulled this shit here. If your sole purpose is to chase your members who joined here and use my free speech policy to harass them or "flame" them where you wouldn't over at your site, you're in the wrong playground.

Biker Dude has been nothing but polite here, even when in a heated discussion with other members. You've singled him out on more than one occasion. We use a warning system here. Please don't make it so you're the first one to have it used against you.
