I just spent a good half hour scouring the internet with various search terms and couldn't find the article I'm looking for.

This morning on Fox and Friends they caught my attention to watch a segment where they were saying the government was trying to pass a bill or get one considered or whatever - that will ban TV ads regarding foods that have high sugar and sodium content from airing on prime time and other times when children 12 years and under may be watching.

I scoured the Fox website - nothing.

Yahoo and Google searches got me results for Europe, the UK and China/Tiawan. The Chinese one got me thinking this could be the story as it was damn near word for word what these drones on Fox were saying. They just made it "American" instead of Chinese and it's being "proposed" vs. already enacted and they omitted the cigarettes - but, get this - the cigarette and alcohol ban was used to compare this to and said that was merely voluntary back then. Voluntary because the heat was on them already.

Anyway, this is the Chinese story.

These are the yahoo and google search results (FYI - didn't scour past page 1) -

Fox USED to be pretty straight up but now they seem to feel obligated to be the ANTI of the rest of the liberal biased "mainstream media".

In the past I had chastised libs for calling Fox "Faux News" and set them straight on something. They all said Fox news wasn't fair and balanced as claimed but they were siting the opinion and commentary programs. This was obviously shit in as much as...... what didn't they understand about the concept that opinion/commentary shows are SUPPOSED to lean one way or the other. At the time the NEWS portion of Fox was calling it down the middle while the other big media was decidedly on the left.

NOW Fox has allowed itself to become exactly what the lefties have charged it was. Fucking idiots!

Ever since Obama took office Fox went all Obama, all the time. They do have their fair share of opposing opinion but those are OPINION shows, like you said. But this, this is out and out fallacy!

I'm going to go back to watching my local news when I feel like being depressed, use my news feeds on the computer to check what's going on when alerts come in, same for the phone, but I am done with TV news on cable. Until editors start demanding integrity in the newsroom, stories with truth to them, and the PEOPLE start demanding the truth from our media, I'm pretty much done with news. Back to Saturday Morning Cartoons on the weekends and music during the day. Shit, music right now on the radio sucks too. But, we all know that's going to turn around faster than politicians and the media! Rofl

You know I've not watched any news except local news in the afternoon (1/2 hr) and I'm much more calm lately. I don't even miss it.

Who bothers with Fox News any longer. I don't. From now on it Fox Business for me. Fox News Sux. I despise O'Reilly, and Hannity makes me want to 'Ralph' all over the place. Now, Cavuto really runs a tight ship.

Everyone needs a good ole' dose of the Judge every evening, with others thrown in for good measure.

I just stopped watching news altogether. It's all cartoons and game shows in the day for me. I'm much happier for it.
