0 I was out on the NYS thruway today and there must have been 1,000 power company and tree service bucket trucks headed east. There must have been 50 of them stopped at the local motels for the night too. There will be plenty of help there shortly after it is over with I'm sure.

0 Yeah, everyone is prepared this time. Katrina woke up a lot of emergency services to what being prepared really is about.

0 Not here LH. No power and inland flooding is collapsing foundations on homes all over. We got lucky by the shore. Beaches are gone. We still have the back end to suffer thru yet.
I'll update when I get power back and my computer. Too tedious to do a full post on the phone. I did make my first pot of Cowboy Coffee though! Came out really good! I have no idea what you're talking about so here's a bunny with a pancake on it's head

0 OK we got power back!
 Update - this storm treated us kindly at the shore. All the towns inland got hit bad. Many towns in NJ are under water up north and west and some houses are crumbling at their foundations under the flood waters. Whole towns are under water as far west as Lancaster, Pa. We tried to get out to the barrier islands, Seaside and all boardwalks but they are blocked off. Still flooded there but all in all good. Some piers are severely damaged and will need to be rebuilt. Not too many trees down here but inland, again, is a mess. I'm now glad I couldn't find shelter! We did better here. 0 Yeah, we're finally done with it. We took the car out because the sun came out and took a few pictures of mildly flooded roads and our beach on the cove. I'll post them. But as we were finding dead ends to drive to, it got cloudy again and started raining. Wind picked up enough to make us think it was the back end finally moving in but by the time we drove two miles to home, the stupid sun came out again.
 It's gorgeous out now though, it always is after a hurricane. Haven't heard from LK yet if he got his power back. I'm surprised it hasn't done anything by you, Twist. The map showed this beast up there too. I have no idea what you're talking about so here's a bunny with a pancake on it's head
