Ya ,the humidity is down to 6% from 10% a day or so ago pretty soon it will be near zero.

its hot , the sun here will cook you on a day like today.

water is good but its not enough to keep you from heat stress, here we use salted sunflower seeds to boost the salt levels.

Yes, I know about the need for salt too. Not everyone can adapt to such heat extremes either. Matt's fried himself over the last two weekends. He's peeling from last week's burn and his sunburn got sunburned yesterday. He's beet red.

Why is it white people (and I mean WHITE and fair) think that if you get burned a couple of times it will make you tan better? All that does is make you sick. My ex used to say if he gets burned it'll turn tan. My advice is if you're milky white it's a hint you don't belong in the sun without something protecting your skin.

Might be getting a thunderstorm or two here this afternoon.

There's a fucking tornado warning for just west of me. Damn! They don't happen often in Pa but they DO happen. Usually little F1 twisters that only last a few minutes but sometimes they cause a bit of destruction.

We got the same tornado warning here.

Just did another food run for some odds and ends to make my cold salads. Fruit salad is on the menu for me. My potato salad ala Lebanese and I'm going to make up a batch of kafta for dinner if Matt can get tahini at a normal price. Fuckers wanted $10 for a pint of the stuff! outrageous.

It rained all day yesterday, today looks better already. I'd like to get some miles in on a bike but noticed that my truck needs to be inspected and I have a couple other things to do.

The heatwave has broken. It's 61 degrees and the air conditioner is turned off. I'm kind of glad because I got the torturer again (dentist) and I hate traveling in the heat around here. You sit in traffic for ages.

It was 50 this morning, no truck inspection till tomorrow, dishes done, wash hung out, just waiting for the sun to warm things up a little bit and I think I'm gonna go ride some trails.

I have been tortured and am home. It's gorgeous out and I think I'll spend some time in the swing chair reading.

We had a double rainbow here last evening too. I got some pics but I'm not sure if one came out visibly on film. It was fading much faster than the other one.

I rode 20some miles of railtrails, I saw 3 deer, 1 muskrat, a handful of chipmunks, a woodchuck, a couple of trail cats (housecats out hunting), a snake out sunning himself on the trail (I narrowly avoided him), a shit pile of birds, a couple of dogs, and a dog walking a hottie. Then on the way home I saw a murder!!!!! Of crows that is. Really, there must have been 50 of them.
