SWEET - I just ordered THIS and it was cheap! $35 and I pick up after the show.


Got an email notice that he's recording all the concerts in this area and selling the CD directly after the show. Man, technology is nice! No more waiting for a tour to be over and the artist to trawl through tons of recordings to see what show was best to set a live CD to!

Last night's concert was a BLAST! He played for 3 hours 40 minutes with a 20 minutes potty break.

I have a ton of shit on my phone to take off for you all and I'll get it up with more details later. We're just recuperating from the night. We didn't get home until 3 AM. Exhausted and foggy headed still. It was a longer drive home than going up with exhaustion going on.

Pompeii was great and a little disappointing at the same time. A very, very "heavy" experience. So very sad to see the casts of those poor people. Details in it's own thread later.

I totally forgot to update this with pics and video!
So, since I have to stay here at home waiting for a delivery, I converted the video to upload here and I'll try to get the best pictures in. The phone takes crap photos if you zoom in too close for some reason and if there is a lot of light, well, you get bright people and fuzzy images.

So we were row L from the stage, pretty damn close!

Here he is onstage. I don't remember what song but all I know it's only one of a handful of decent images I got. I even had to tune it up and make it clearer with Photoshop.

And this is one awesome apartment building across the street from The Beacon Theater. Man, if I had the money to buy an apartment in there, I'd move in a heartbeat.

LH, yeah it was. We were surprised at the sound quality of the video off the phone. Sadly, it was the only song that he gave us a chance to set up to record in it's entirety.

The device he used to "make the guitar talk" is called a talkbox.

It goes between the amp and speaker and processes the sound through a tube. You put the tube in your mouth and play. The sound goes into your mouth and you "talk" for the guitar into a microphone.

Joe Walsh used one for Rocky Mountain Way.

One of my guitarist friends has a newer version that has its own amplifier and hooks between the guitar and amp. They let you do some really wild stuff!

Damn, you got tickets? I'm so jealous! Been watching old reruns of the show on Antenna TV and there was an episode of interviews and concert footage. They're insane onstage! Too bad Mike Nesbitt isn't with the group. He's a great talent as well.

You left out the link to your image... where are you sitting? And why is this in the Frampton thread when there is a Monkees thread?

I'm going to see if they're making a run for somewhere here in the fall or winter. Hopefully Atlantic City. They played the night before Frampton and we just couldn't make it into the city on time with Matt working all day first.
