God there are some really sad people about!

Here is the culprit for getting us to a transport day. Morgan invited us so we could have trips out on the vintage buses.

Here is the 95's very first trip since the re-spray. Note there is still a lot to do to it.

This is Morgan's old engine (he has another one even older still under restoration)

Now go to the photo assignment for your next challange Bikers

What is that fun little roadster next to your car? Smile

Where is this trip out? Looks like a bus rally!

That funny little car is a Lomax.
It is a 3 wheeled kitcar based on a VW base.
It belongs to Mr Hogan one of my customers, so it was a real surprise to see him as he was to see us, since I told him the car still wasn't completed.

The Bus Society meet about 3 or 4 times a year locally (out of the tourist season I might add) and just drive out on jollies.

I have a story about my 'jollie'. I had Mark worried sick Hysterical

Nice pictures Rhubarb.
I've actually had my eye on this bad boy. Although the attraction might just be having something called a smooth bore deck gun on it.

OH man, they got the best stuff for sale up by you on CL!
They got nuthin' but crapola here.

We had an old ambulance for the fence company once. We had to grind off all the wording for where it came from and it couldn't have AMBULANCE on it anywhere, but we could still keep the lights and stuff. It sat in the yard and rotted. I would have made a camper out of it or something cool.

Buy that truck! Paint it red and have a ball with it.

Twist,
We have quite a few privately owned fire engines and ladder trucks around here. They can be lots of fun if you enter them in parades for prizes or just to ride.

The chief at Pine Grove's North End Fire Co. has a couple of old engines. His Chevrolet/Howe gets used to fill swimming pools and his American La France is used as an additional auxiliary piece on large fire scenes as a supply pumper.

From what I read in the ad that bad boy could still be used as a front line engine for a rural fire company!

Rhubarb,
Those are some really nicely restored busses! I've always liked the double deckers. There are many over here that convert old motor coaches into campers.

I was thinking how cool that fire truck could be, I could sneak over to the neighbors when they aren't home, empty their swimming pool and then charge them to refill it later. I could sneak out and empty a farm pond just as a joke. I could pump out basements during a flood, water lawns in the summer, squelch a riot with my water smooth bore deck gun, etc, etc, etc, maybe even hold bingo in my garage on Saturday nights and start my own volunteer fire company.
