This is one of the most fascinating and freaky documentaries I've ever seen, I highly recommend it.

Another one...My brothers Keeper. Started last night. It's about four brothers who live on a farm and one of them did a mercy killing on one of the other brothers. Very dark but extremely interesting.

Oooooh, thanks for that one! Sounds like something I'd enjoy.

Have you noticed a lot of these documentaries about weird people seem to be from New York state? Hmmm...

Oh-they are very backwards and their house is similar to Hoarders. Don't know if that will change it for you or not.

Kinda reminds a bit of my dad except he has no brothers.............

Wow, that was hard to watch. Toothless and mumbling old men with chaw juice dripping down their chins and staining their ragged beards, shuffling away while muttering to themselves.

I might come back to that another time but I found it really depressing.

I said it was heavy. If you watch though, they are obviously uneducated but they are not stupid. My dad isn't raggy like that, but alone on a farm, 7th grade education, a bit of a loner.

It's hard for the average bear to grasp, but these men are happy living their lives in this manner. It is just as they want it. The messy house, solitude, lack of any type of "luxuries" does not bother them nor do they want it.

How far into it did you get?

I thought they had great lives, I enjoyed the scene where he said how much he loved the smell of fresh mowed hay but I had trouble understanding most of the people since they talked like they had mush in their mouths and they really did shamble around a lot. I guess it makes me more conscious of my own mortality when I see old folks like that. They weren't exactly the picture of health, physical or mental.

I got maybe 15 minutes in when he stood up to hear what the interviewer said, then stared blankly while the guy tried repeating the question about six different ways so he could understand.

Yeah-I got to about where the guy ducked into the barn because he couldn't take the scrutiny anymore....
