I've said it before, those cats are tough. You just about have to kill them outright to get rid of them, I've seen some pretty bad off cats too, and I've never heard one complain either.

Kitty lived another 7 years or so as a fat happy cat that enjoyed life to the fullest.

Blessings to your kitty!!!!

Shoot him? Why not just have the vet put him down instead?

Its strange but we now have 6 kittens on the porch, it seems that news travels fast in the feline world.

we have have about 8 ferals that we feed outside, but all of a sudden we have a bunch of about 4 week old kittens.

I had the same problem when I had the farm. Take in one stray and if he/she continues to be an indoor/outdoor cat, they tell the whole colony! I found that the males are more guilty of this than the females.

Are the new little ones healthy at least and not in as bad shape as Cruiser?

The new kittens seem fine right now, just a little thin and under fed.

Well I know they'll fatten up quickly under your care.

Do you know my formula for kitten mush?

Get that dry flaked Gerber brand baby cereal and mix it with some warm KMR. They'll lap it up like mad and as they start to wean, start adding small amounts of canned cat food into the cereal mixture and by the end of two weeks, you should have them fat and happily eating big cat food!

It's also fun to watch them slop around the bowl lapping it up and mommy cat gets to lick them all clean and get some extra nutrition for herself from the leftovers Smile

An update on Cruiser, caution to all dial uppers, this is a fairly large video file ! He's a little fireball. Keep in mind while your watching that He is completely blind. sorry about how dark the video came out , but it does what its supposed to.

Are you SURE he is completely blind? You wouldn't know it from the way he was playing with the dog and made his "escape"!

He seems to have adapted quite well considering his handicap. You've done an outstanding job with the little guy.
