one of the loveliest things in my home town, Cherry Blossoms blooming around the Tidal Basin. people come from everywhere to enjoy this 1912 gift from Japan framing the Washington Monument and Jefferson Memorial.
i lifted these photos from the Washington Post, sent in by readers.

according to the Post they are current. they do look the same each year. but it IS the right time for them. i'll have to ask my sister. the pic from Maryland is not current.

Very pretty!!!!!

Most of our trees are have leaves now. My peach tree was really pretty this year.
Fogot to get a picture of it this year.

i have 2 apple trees, last spring it looked like snow as tiny white blossoms filled the air one day, i can't describe how pretty it was. Smile

My dogwood is blooming now. I wish the old lady next door would cut that horribly overgrown and misshapen cedar tree down that's hovering over it so it can get some sun and be allowed to grow.

Aww. I was away when my three big pear trees did the petal snow. When I came home today all I saw was the white drifts on the lawn. I am very saddened.
