I'm like you. I like to forge ahead until it's done. I hate procrastinators and Matt is the biggest one.

But you see, everything is a pain in the ass. It may sound like a simple task but nothing ever goes right. A simple move of a cabinet usually means it's heavier than expected, is nailed down more than is expected, it breaks, it needs to be repaired, you don't have the stuff to repair it with, you gotta go to the home depot, you get the wrong stuff, you gotta go back, they don't have what you really need, you try lowes, then go to the old hardware store, then you finally get back and get going on the repair, your cordless drill is dead, your spare battery is crap, you say fuck it and use a screwdriver, now it won't fit through the door, you gotta remove the door, you scratch the wall with the door, now you have to keep chasing the cat out of the doorless room so you can work without crushing said cat, remind me to fix the scratched wall, "honey, I'm hungry, let's go get some lunch", "Fuck, I'll never get done if you don't leave me alone.", everything is finally in place to mount the cabinet in the new location, you measured everything 6 times, you lift it above your head, got the cordless charged and 6 screws in you mouth, the fucking cabinet doesn't fit even though you measured it 6 times, it's heavier than you should be lifting, you feel your back hurting, you scratch another wall as you have to set it down, go get the wood plane and make it fit, after much planing and sanding now it is lopsided, fuck it, no one will notice and I'll just fill the gap with calk, maybe some of that glue will help hold it up, now you lift if and make sure it fits, yes, it does, set it back down, glue the back of it, get screws and cordless ready, lift again, into place, almost, the fucker don't fit again, how is this possible? it fit without glue on it, hurry the hell up before the glue dries, shave it, sand it, beat on it, get it into place, screw it in....job well done, now you have every tool you own in the house, 45 minutes of cleaning up tools and shit, then put the door back on, save the wall repairs and painting for another day, one more trip to home depot to return all the shit you didn't need....
Anyway, that is usually the short version of any home repair, you should get the lowdown on plumbing.
And you wonder why we put shit off as long as possible.
