Scrapple is disgusting! We had bought a half pig for slaughter once and they gave us scrapple with it. It was ugly out of the package. Gray in color, grainy consistency. I figure like most things, I should try it so I can say honestly I hate or like it.
Tried with the maple syrup as I only like Ketchup on burgers and fries ( and rarely at that) - it was as ugly a taste and texture as it was to look at. It remained that ashen gray color too.
Fuck that shit. I like to know what I'm eating and mystery meat held together with some kind of grain gluten is not on the fucking list.

I didn't copy that from Wiki. Black pudding is still considered a blood sausage no matter how you slice it. I'd personally rather drink fresh hot blood.

My dad used to cook scrapple for Sunday breakfast. I didn't know what it was at the time, but I never liked the taste. I prefer grits and crispy corned beef hash.

I never even heard of scrapple but it sounds nasty.
My nephew went to a pig roast once. As if looking at the pig spinning around on the spit wasn't bad enough, they didn't cook is enough. My nephew got very ill. It was a long time before he would eat any meat again. He still won't eat pork unless it's cooked by a family member and there is no other meat.

Dunno... but I've seen 'yeast' used to sprinkle over popcorn. It's supposed to give it a salty/cheesy flavor. I've never heard of this Marmite before.

I've heard that haggis smells foul, but I've never tried it or even been near it, so I can't comment. I would probably try it though.
Of course, veal also smells kind of foul... but it tastes good.
