The big problem here isn't so much that Hostess is going out but rather that the union is not willing to make an 8% pay concession as opposed to holding out and forcing the workers to make a 100% concession!
I'm no fan of "piggy at the trough" unions. There are some who truly help their rank and file members but these days they are the exception rather than the norm.

I saw a whole row of hostess zingers in the vending machine at work today, I thought about buying them all and putting them up on ebay.
I did eat one out of a 3 pack though.

I haven't had a hostess cake in I can't remember how long. Funny Bones is my favorite and then Devil Dogs, but for the last 30 years at least, they've been so dry and chalky and the cream filling so damn sweet I can't stomach them.
Wonder bread, although full of chemicals, will be missed.

I can take or leave that crap..though I do hate Twinkies and those cupcakes. BUT I have had a sudden craving for HoHo's....even though I cannot remember the last time I had one.
I will have to go look for article..but I think I saw somewhere that Hostess is suddenly in negotiations again with the employees.
