Bagpipes sound like many cats being tortured simultaneously but banjo's just put the morbid fear of violent male anal rape immediately into my mind.

If I was unfortunate enough to be the victim of male rape duelling banjo's would provide a sickeningly perfect soundtrack.

Nah, sorry LC I don't dig bagpipes, I have embraced everything else Scottish, even the negative aspects like drunken violence, a chip on my shoulder, religious bipartisanship and heart disease (Smile) but I can't embrace bagpipes.

Oh, I have been to both places I just cannot remember which one I spent the most time in. I think it was in 82 around there.

Dropkick Murphy's has a bagpiper in the band and it's fucking awesome. The St. Paddy's Day Parade in NYC has the NYC Police Dept's bagpipers and you can hear them a mile away. Those who've never heard live bagpipes are always startled as to how loud they are. One is loud enough to break the sound barrier but put like 50 or more together and you can see windows shake on the buildings.

I can also appreciate a good banjo pickin'. I'm one of those weirdos who cannot stand the sound of Country music but I dig that Bluegrass stuff.
