I don't mind it, if you like meat I can't understand how you can't like marmite, that's what it was created for, a way for vegetarians to add a meaty flavour to sandwiches.

It tastes nothing like meat. NOTHING. At least not any meat I've ever eaten and if I put as much salt on any food as there is in that itty bitty taste I took of it, I'd have died of high blood pressure by now!

Its not the salt that gives it its flavour its the yeast.

I've never tried it, but I'm thinking it probally tastes like the beef base used for soups.

Nah.
If you like it it tastes like umami from heaven.
If you don't like it I imagine it tastes like spreadable crude oil byproduct.
