This will actually be the first time in a long time the we have both gone on vacation together. A whole week of trusting other people to look after the kittahs. I worry more about that than flying and all that other shit.
BTW karatemonkey might come back to life this summer, I haven't decided yet if it's gonna be bicycle or motorcycle.
Now for the real problem, getting off my lazy ass and getting the taxes done. It's no more than gathering the stuff up, dropping it off and going back to sign and pick it up. But what a pain in the ass.
We even talked (briefly) about doing them ourselves again.
That usually involves a lot of screaming, crying, yelling, death threats, thrown dishes, back stabbing, body slams, short sheeted beds, nipple twists, wet willies, exploding cigarettes, and joy buzzers. Then finally one of us will give in and say that we give up and will figure it out.

We let someone else do it, that way if there is a problem or mistake we have someone else to blame and represent us at the IRS if necessary.
I'm like you too when we leave the animals in someone else's care. I'm usually justified in my fears and find things all upside down when we get home.
Where you thinking of going? I really want to see Italy one of these days but I'm resolved in the fact it's probably never going to happen.
And Karatemonkey should consider the motorcycle more than the bicycle - you have a greater chance of not needing a knee replacement at the end of the trip
Speaking of knees - got my MRI back. Lovely black spot. Pain comes and goes as it sees fit. Doc appt was today but since it's shit weather I pushed it to next Monday.

We have Hawaii booked already, I'm on my own over the summer for the motorcycle thing. Thinking about Sturgis....I dunno, maybe.
Speaking of weather....I had to get the snow blower up on the deck again today. Nice.

If you're planning on staying for any length of time at Sturgis you better book a room NOW. We had a real hard time finding a place and we booked in January for August. Might want to skip that and plan now for next year and get a place right in Deadwood or Sturgis proper. You'll have a better time. You have half a chance for Daytona if you're looking for a bike week thing. I'd even be willing to drive down and meet up with you and show you the fun spots. Daytona is in March though and you're looking for summer.
As for the "hole" you can't imagine, here is a photo of the MRI. The red arrow is pointing to the hole in the meniscus. At least that's what I think it is. I'll know exactly on Monday.
I'm hoping it's a cyst.

I was just thinking about riding to Sturgis, camp for a day or two and bail the fuck out fi that is even possible. Or I'd just keep on riding if I had to.
