RE: Orange Bob - LKTraz - 12-02-2014 He's either a house cat or at the very least a porch cat. He may be from a farm but he'd be one of the ones that hangs out by the house door or maybe in a mud room and not in the barn. Good looking fella there. RE: Orange Bob - twisteroo - 12-02-2014 The tech at the vet's office said he has on an expensive flea collar, it has reflectors on it. Just the fact that he has reflectors leads me to think that he is like an indoor/outdoor cat. He could stay here but Angus and Scruffy are such pricks. He's using his bed in the barn, it's an old wooden kitchen drawer bottom with a styrofoam cooler for a cover, old sweaters and stuff for bedding and insulated with an old jacket and stuff. It's just big enough for a cat to curl up in and stay warm. He acted like he never ventured into my barn before. The search continues for his owners. Actually it is kind of frustrating thinking that someone is NOT looking for him. RE: Orange Bob - Twitchin Kitten - 12-02-2014 Yeah but you live in a somewhat rural area and if this guy has a habit of keeping "many owners", they may not miss him yet. Or they're the kind of assholes that go away for vacation and leave the cat out to save on kennel costs. RE: Orange Bob - twisteroo - 12-02-2014 A glimmer of hope for Orange Bob. I got a response to one of my ads to contact this woman ASAP. He is not her cat. ![]() However, she said if nobody claims him to let her know!! ![]() Orange Bob might end up with a nice home after all, of course she will have to pass a rigid series of tests to take him, including the dreaded 1,000 word essay on being cat worthy, a home inspection, background investigation, financial screening, credit score check, we will need to check PSA, DNA, LMNOP, and her drivers license for any speeding convictions.
RE: Orange Bob - Twitchin Kitten - 12-02-2014 Good! Will you share the essay though? Might be fun. No, it WILL be fun. RE: Orange Bob - twisteroo - 12-02-2014 I'm just hoping Orange Bob, either goes home or someone who wants him gets to care for him. I bought him a can of food today and snuck it out to him in the barn. He liked that. RE: Orange Bob - twisteroo - 12-06-2014 Woo Hoo!!!!! I have a happy ending to report!! (no, not the massage parlor kind either) In all my postings and stuff trying to find Orange Bob's humans I put a little free ad in the local pennysaver paper. Orange Bob's human's mom read it and we got a call last night. She came right over to get him, but unfortunately Orange Bob was out whoring around. He showed up at the back door at 4:30am right on schedule though. Orange Bob is going home today!!! It seems he lives only a few miles away, he was rescued from a nearby town from someone who couldn't afford to take care of one of his injuries, his mom works at a vet's clinic. He has been shot, (his real name is BB because he still has some in him) he has been hit by a car and his jaw is a little messed up, and I think she said his tail was lost from a fight. Yikes!!! Anyway, this is the best news. Orange Bob is the nicest cat, we wanted to keep him but it would cause such chaos with the other guys, but we hate to see him go. We were just checking out the other woman that said she would take him when the phone rang. I googled the other woman and it turns out she's some kind of a bird rescue lady, her facebook page had lots of pics of her and her former cat and she seemed like the perfect person to take Orange Bob. I was actually gonna e-mail her today or tomorrow and get it over with so it wasn't harder to see Orange Bob....I mean BB go. So.....very good news that I had to share with my freinds. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
RE: Orange Bob - Twitchin Kitten - 12-06-2014 Aww, you called us your friends! lol That's great news about him and even better his person works at the vet! It's so rare you find who a cat you find belongs to. My rule is if the found cat costs me a small fortune to save their life, they're mine because the owner obviously didn't care enough anyway. Cats who run away usually come right home or get hit by cars. It's really rare they survive around here. Bob was obviously cared for from the get-go and your efforts paid off. RE: Orange Bob - Biker Dude - 12-06-2014 Glad he is going home.
