RE: I bought it! - Twitchin Kitten - 02-26-2014 Me to dealer: "take this check but hold it until Friday. It will bounce. this whole deal is contingent on the taxes coming in and that the numbers work out in our favor." Dealer: "not a problem" Today I get a call the car is in and ready. WTF? I need my taxes in for the down payment or the whole deal is off. They trusted us enough with the deposit check not to bother holding it and now they want to rush us to purchase. I still have to swap out the radio back to the factory one too. It's snowing at the moment - sun snow to boot. Too damn cold to work on that shit in the car! RE: I bought it! - LKTraz - 02-26-2014 They're trying to get it to fall into their February sales report. If it's not delivered by 6 PM Friday then it kicks over to March. I suspect the weather has fucked up their monthly sales figures and your Mustang would sure help shore them up. Ford, GM and Chrysler all operate the same with sales reports. The cutoff is 6 PM local on the last day of the month. The sale has to be signed by the deadline to count. RE: I bought it! - Twitchin Kitten - 02-26-2014 So that's it then. He really wanted Friday and said something vague about signing it off or some shit like that. I'm just not comfortable taking the car before the money is in. RE: I bought it! - TenFour - 02-26-2014 maybe another salesman is trying to sell it out from under you at a higher price... RE: I bought it! - AnthonyG - 02-27-2014 I have also had the dealership that was transferring the car back out after the deposit because they must have found a fool to pay alot more then they were getting in the transfer. I had to swap my aftermarket head unit back to stock on a lease I was turning in a few years back, it was November/December sucked to say the least, what I would have gave to have had a garage to work in lol. Now I have an audio guy I go to that gives me a good deal when I need to change out my stuff when im selling or turning a car in. RE: I bought it! - Twitchin Kitten - 02-27-2014 These guys are crazy. It's for the sales quota and nothing more. They are even willing to let me write a bad check and hold it until the taxes come in so i get the loan now. I'm not doign that. If I lose the car then I lose it. I'm not going to be pressured and my taxes aren't coming in for another two weeks. I'd be surprised if they do. I'm driving up there today and making them understand they're crazy and they'll just have to keep my deposit check until the rest comes in. I made that clear last week and I'm sticking by it. RE: I bought it! - Twitchin Kitten - 02-27-2014 OK dealer has been sorted out and he's going to wait a week and then some. Keeping the deposit check and cashing it and going with plan A and waiting for the taxes to come in and do it right. Meanwhile, I had a look at it and took pictures ![]() It's gorgeous. We need to get the stripes put on but looking at it I'm now undecided on it. Stupid car doesn't come with a spare. I'll have to get one of those. They drove it up from Maryland and I'm not liking how the tires look. There is quite a bit of wear on the outer edges I don't like. I asked them to check out the balance and the front end alignment. Stupid ass who drove it also had a problem parking as the sidewall had some rubs on it. how can you not park? OK couple pics for you. The inside looks HOT with this color combo. click each image for full size and a good look. Keep in mind it's not prepped yet either. We use big American cubic inches. Also, Google is your friend
