Plant some field corn! (The stuff you use for animal feed....not the sweet corn you'd want to eat)
They'll go for that and leave the veggies alone.

This is as close as they got. I saw three of them taking off this morning just before it got light out.
I'm sure they won't bother anything....at least till the beets come up.

Fantastic weather at last.........lots of gardening with strawberries going great guns (the baby blackbirds haven't found them)

The kid who does my lawn came yesterday and asked if I wanted him to mow. I asked him to wait a few days, just had to shell out stupid money to have a plumber come out Saturday to snake all my drains...were backing up stinky shit into my house. Could not pay the kid. Now it is going to rain the rest of week.
By the way...the shit was really stinky.
