My derailleur loosens and comes off with a screwdriver.

Yeah that's true, I forgot it's attached to the frame tube. The tool definitely takes off the crank arms and the shaft and front gear set can then be pulled off.

How about a wrench for the sprocket assembly?

Uh, not really.

Anthony is right, it is a crank puller.
I met a crank puller at a truck stop once, she looked nothing like this though.Biggrin
