RE: It's here - Twilla - 01-23-2012 This is from two days ago. It starts off slow but picks up quickly. RE: It's here - Twitchin Kitten - 01-23-2012 Is this video you took with your phone? Love the little green SUV going sideways. Everyone thinks that 4WD makes them invincible. RE: It's here - LKTraz - 01-23-2012 Ah yes......the parade of motorists who don't have a clue on how to drive in the snow! I particularly liked the white car that turned AWAY from the skid. Too much speed and then lock the brakes and you get a Jamaican bobsled!!!!!!! Then as Twitch mentioned, those who feel invincible with 4 wheel drive only to discover that not used properly it becomes 4 wheel SLIDE. But of course the best way to drive on roads like that is......DON'T! Wait till the plow crews do their job. I'll bet the towing/rollback folks made a killing. RE: It's here - Twilla - 01-23-2012 Especially from the guy that knocked out the front side of his car on the snow plow. RE: It's here - LKTraz - 01-23-2012 Oh yeah...that was a solid hit. The snow plow only suffered a torn off piece of rubber deflector from the looks of it. RE: It's here - Twitchin Kitten - 01-23-2012 Cold tires, treads packed with snow = sled. People don't realize they have no grip when the tires are packed with snow. They're virtually wheels made of ice. Also, those little SUV things are so lightweight they have no traction. I found out today that on slightly damp roads you cannot made sudden stops with the mustang - I was daydreaming and driving, which is a no no to begin with, and my destination driveway came up suddenly. I hit the brakes and realized I was not going to stop so a quick look around and no one behind me or on the side allowed me to do a wild turn into the driveway. Wheeeeee! That was fun. I almost wanted to try it again when I met Matt for lunch
