RE: Cruise Night in Toms River - photo heavy! - Twitchin Kitten - 09-16-2011 Tell Mark my first car was a '62 Triumph Spitfire. Rag-top, British racing green with black interior. I had to sew two NY phone books inside a sleeve to see out over the dash to drive it! ![]() We put it up in the yard for the winter and was going to restore it to complete original but the little neighborhood hoodlums totally destroyed the car. They tore every piece off and out of the thing before my neighbor got out to shoo them off. We had no garage or fence as it was an apartment off the house rental. That was a fun little car. We traded it for a paint job of the trim of some guy's house. We saw the car in the driveway and my ex knocked on the door and asked if he wanted to trade paint for the car. RE: Cruise Night in Toms River - photo heavy! - Twitchin Kitten - 09-16-2011 Oh and as for suing for "trades description" - I don't think that's even done here. For all I know, that car could have been sold as an MG here back then. The license plate says "My 53MG" as well. Mark has just pointed out the obvious ![]() The cream MG in the next picture says it all! The grille badge is LF too. RE: Cruise Night in Toms River - photo heavy! - Twitchin Kitten - 09-18-2011 Tell him to find a 53 as both of them claim to be 1953 not from the 1930's. |
