I was just going to explain to you that a century is a 100 mile ride, but I looked at the link and saw that they have shorter options.
I can do 100 miles if I put my mind to it, but I'm much more comfortable with the metric century, 62.5 miles.
Oh, I just realized also that you are not planning on riding, just gonna throw water.

Yeah, I'm not ready for anything yet. My bike is crap, my athleticism isn't up to par yet. I only started up again what? 4 weeks now? Not enough time for any kind of ride in the heat over 5 miles.

That's exactly what I'm thinking. I told Matt I'm doing SOMETHING next year that is physical whether he gets himself in shape to do it with me or not. I'll drag him along as my pit crew or something but I really want to get "athletic" again. I have been bitten by the 'bug' and once I start, I like to follow through.
Don't we have a video on here with some maniacs flying through the streets of Manhattan on bikes?

The drinking and racing vid is worth watching also. If nothing else watch from 5:20 on to about 9:00, they end in some shithole bar, do you know there that one is Twitch?

I don't know that bar but it looks like a good one! In NY, the shitty dive joints are the BEST bars to hang out in. Never fall for the tourist trap, fancy-schmancy joints. Over priced, weak drinks and BORING as all fuck.
I'll see if i can figure that place out.
You know what's funny? When I was 17 I was really into biking my way around the city. I didn't even have my own bike, I used my brothers'. Me and Bobby, Larry, and Scott (the other girls were chicken) used to ride all over the place. The best was the highway grafting behind the busses or tractor-trailers. We got pulled over a couple of times by the cops and got a huge lecture. Because of us, there are now "no bicycle" signs on the freeways on Staten Island
We were far from the maniacs those guys in the video were but I wasn't as nervous street riding at 17 as I am now!
