Just quick thoughts without a lot of research, Fuji makes some good bikes, they have a lot of info about this one, I mean they don't offer up that much information on wal mart bikes.
It has the twist shifters that you don't like.
Things could be upgraded as they wear out, and it would be an even better bike.
If you got it all the way won it would be a perfect bike.
How are you "winning" it, with cigarette coupons?

Yep, that Marlboro contest I told you about. I'm halfway there in points.
I can always have the shifters changed to speed shifters. Seems like a decent bike for free.

The only thing I don't like is it doesn't have the disc brakes. I really fell in love with those. I can also sell it and upgrade! I dunno. I'm like you, I'll start collecting bikes for all different reasons and occasions just because I can.
I saw a bike and repair stand for $70 on Craigslist. It's probably gone now. I didn't have the cash when I saw it last week.
I should look. If nothing else, the stand is handy.

I have a bottom end Park Tool stand I got off of CL for like $60, I dunno what I would do without it.

You don't want to know how I work on bikes! I got a hanging rope system under the pergola for now.

You should see me chasing the damn thing to turn a bolt or nut or tweak the deraileurs!
