Has anyone ever tried the cell phone trick with the car door lock and the remote opener?

Just a note here:

One of the factors which determine insurance rates for vehicles is the frequency at which they are stolen. Obviously the easier to open a vehicle is the more inviting a target for theft. Ever wonder why Chevrolet Camaros were so damned expensive to insure? It wasn't the performance as most thought but rather the ease with which they could be opened up and stolen. All you need to open a Camaro from model years 1966 to 1985 is a standard cheapo wooden yardstick! You know, the kind many hardware stores used to give away as advertising gifts. Yup, it's that easy.

Secondly, they are so easy to hotwire and with later models to disable the steering lock it's not funny.

I used to pick Master locks (not padlocks, actual Master BRAND padlocks) in High School... with a paper clip.

Yeah, a chandelier, a step ladder, 8 feet of nylon rope, some rubber gloves, a wooden spoon, a midget with a camera, and a donkey.
Wanna give it a go?

Speaking of midgets... there was a very little person at the show on Thursday. She was the date of a VERY big man, had to be 6' 5" + and over 300 pounds of man where she couldn't be more than 3' tall and sitting on the chair, her legs were straight out on the seat with 4" + room from the bottom of her feet to the end of the seat.

They were in the row below and to my left. At the end of the show, he picked her up and put her on his shoulder like a sack of flour to navigate the crowd leaving. I so wanted to snap a pic but it would have been so rude! It was hard enough not to stare at them when they were making out between songs/sets.

I used to be the go to guy at work whenever someone locked their keys in the vehicle. The only one I ever met that I couldn't open in 45 seconds or less without more than rudimentary tools was a 1992 V W Jetta. After that one the company bought me a vehicle entry tool set from SnapOn. Then NO vehicle was exempt from entry by me.

Building locks are so simple to bypass that with just a little training most 10 year old kids can do it.

What about the buildings with the key swipers? How do you get around those? I forget mine a few times a month like if I change purses or leave it on my desk. We have to use it to get in the lunch room too. It pisses me off when I forget it. I either have to wait for someone else to get there or walk around to the front lobby and be let in by the receptionist. If I get there early, there is no receptionist on duty yet.

What trick?

My car door supposedly has a 'remote', but I don't have the remote key. Sad
Why yes, I am in fact mocking you.
