Labor Day weekend fun! Not sure if we're hitting two different shows as Lead East is happening at the same time!

Lead East boasts being the world's biggest 50's party. Not sure I care to see rows and rows of 57 Chevy's.

So the DMC was fun. Hanging with my friend Al from Bottle Cap Rockets and while waiting for him to get there we got to meet this guy!

As far as the Javelin.........there's TONS of them around here.

A friend of mine who passed away several years ago left his wife and son a Mark Donohue Special. All original, garage kept and running. About 7 months before he died I was downtown getting gas and he cruised by with it. He had wanted to take it for one last ride. The paint is still excellent and it sounds as good as it ever did. He had bought it brand new from the showroom of a local AMC dealer.

It still sits in the garage and his wife starts it, backs it out, washes it and puts it back in every so often.

There's a bunch of others in the area of different years and options and generally at local shows and parades you'll see them. Occasionally one will cruise by on the street.

OK some George Barris creations for you.

We already have the Batmobile up there in the Cadillac set so here's the rest. The lighting in the room was just awful. Had a yellow cast on everything. Threw a cooling filter and this is the best I can get without washing out the images.

I thought I had the Bat Boat but I can't find it.
