I'm not paying someone to do this work. This is all warranty work and my dealer isn't the only one in town.

The moaning hasn't happened for a couple weeks now - only because I made a note of it. Maybe it happens when it's colder outside and the car not so warmed up? I'll have to watch.

As for that heat. That tranny housing gets HOT. Was driving around all day yesterday and if my calf touched the carpet on the housing, it was hot. I have a little stand for my phone that attaches to the passenger seat at the floor and it's on a long "stick". There is a bit of a gap where I can keep a water bottle handy because the center console is designed in such a way that it's impossible to shift if there are bottles in the cup holders. Anyway, the AC was on because it was 96º here and normally if the AC is on bottled water stays relatively cool. After my last stop of the night we left windows open because it was late and cooled down significantly. I was getting those gusts of HOT air up into my face and I went for a drink of water too and guess what? It would have been considered HOT. Not warm. Not room temp, but HOT. That sits - again - on the passenger side too.

I'm going to be calling my private mechanic to look at this on Tuesday.
