Nope. Should start around 2-3 AM here. Snow totals for my are changed again. 2-3 inches by the water now with a rain mix. I'd rather have the snow.

The map in motion is clockwise, which is good. If it changes to counter clockwise, forget all forecasts, all bets are off on snow totals everywhere.

DC looks like it's going to get hit the worst with predictions of 2 feet or more.

What I can't understand is how can any major city NOT have a set in stone plan that runs smoothly for these things? That snow removal plan should have been in place decades ago and the hardest part should be getting people to work overtime. Wait, NYC Sanitation workers make like $50/ hour. Pretty sure there is no shortage of people for the job!

They have no idea what we're getting. We're back up to the possibility of 24" by the morning which I said was going to happen. We're well over a foot now from the looks of it on my grill hood. Everything else is just blowing. It's a snowacane! Stormageden!

Supposed to be 57 here today. I will either have to put the Honda back together, or just ride the Yamaha.

One thing I don't understand is how the snow is handled. Now granted 24" is a lot, but NY, NJ, DC etc aren't any further south than we are, so why is handling the snow such a big deal?

One word - unions.

This should be a no brainier for this area by now. NJ is ok. Right now it looks like everything is running smoothly everywhere. Margate NJ is under water though. That's south of me. I can't get out the door and walk as the snow is up to my hip in places and over my knee everywhere else. Tall boots are useless.

I'm up, filled with breakfast (Scottish farmhouse eggs!) and I'm going to go out and shovel a bit once my fitbit charges some. Curious to see how many calories shoveling burns Smile

Pictures of the mess will be here. They keep saying snow totals for my area are only 17". I'm calling bullshit. Wait till you see the boulders at the road! We're never digging out of this I fear Gah
