I cannot believe how many trackers are slipped into every YouTube video lately. If I visit a site with videos on it or view videos on this site that are embedded into a thread my Ghostery goes off for what seems ages. I can close a tab and it's STILL crushing those tracking cookies.

Most of that shit is spammers too. Dylan and I just blocked some really fucked up spammers that visit here. These are pretty bad because they are not humans, but a screen scraping script that digs out information on members of a forum or blog and spams the fuck out of you.

Spamming and tracking has taken a new low.

Anyone finding they have excess spam lately?

Don't have Ghostery on your browser? You really should get it.

I have that too. That's not to prevent tracking cookies and malware though. That protects sites you visit from what I understood of the description. My bank gave it out and their explanation made it sound like it will protect them if I have malware in my browser or whatever.

Ghostery is free. Get it.
