I don't know what this is, or what to even call it. This thing has been in this location since I moved to NJ. Slowly rotting, the wheels are now gone and the guts removed. I wish I had stopped sooner and taken pictures before it was in such bad shape.

I don't know if it's for sale but I do know the building it's in now is closed and for sale. I imagine the vehicle goes along with.

I think it would fun to take on the beach.

Click for full sizes. Sorry some are a little fuzzy. Phone cam and freezing temps and all. Smile

Looks to me like a beach/marsh buggy.

I'd think it was designed to be somewhat amphibious given the compartment in the rear being elevated and the location of what appears to be the exhaust.

Gonna do a little research now and see if I can't find out more!

I thought of you when taking these photos, LK.

Each wheel track is dual wheels of five in a row.

Yeah, it looks like it was pretty cool when it was running.
Looks like it was cobbed together from lots of parts to me.

I don't know anything about it other than I first saw it in 1988 while house hunting.

Yeah, been there and never moved from what I can tell. I'm half tempted to ask to buy the remains and see what I can do with it.

Back in the mid 70's and early 80's there was a flurry of people creating amphibious vehicles out of volkswagons and different cars and boats. I blame it on the television series that flourished in that era.
It may just be a project that never made it in a test run by a guy that croaked with a vision. A testament to a part time dreamer.
Gimme dat filet-0-fish............gimme dat feesh.
