Nothing but I was asking for chains, not advice. She wasn't even helping me, she was just a buttinsky. I still want the chains. Cat litter is the no-brainer for traction if you get stuck.

I'd rather not drive if it can be helped. I already got one vehicle smashed up and I don't need the mustang messed up when the amateurs are out there thinking they are invincible because they have 4 x4.

Didn't sound like that when I first read over it. Is everyone really rude in New Jersey? It sounds like people are so catty there.

I love drifting in the snow, I used to find the nearest cul de sac and do that in my h3 whenever it snowed.

Twitch, it sounds like you need a "winter P.O.S."
Something good in the snow that you don't give a flying shit if it gets banged up.
An old Ranger or Bronco II would fit the bill for you. 4 x 4 for shitty weather traction, small engine for better gas mileage and an "I don't give a fuck" body.

parking lots are much better for this. I had a '62 Spitfire and one winter there was nothing but ice. We had a ball in the Kmart parking lot on Staten Island.

Nah. That's what my truck is for. Those little things feel like tin cans about to tip over to me. I like a longer wheel base.

Well then......maybe an old beater F-250 4 x 4?

Toss on an Earl Scheib $300.00 paint job and fuck the dents and warts. Basically a truck that will not notice the snow and snot but is somewhat a "disposable" vehicle. Smash it? Just toss it and get another like it!

I'll just fix the one I already have. The cost of insuring a vehicle here is nuts, I'm not dumping that kind of money into a hooptie. I'm paying over $900/year for liability alone on the truck and I have no tickets or accidents. For what I'll pay for a dented up shit box, I can just have someone fix my truck. Law says settlement cannot take longer than 30 days from claim.

We are getting even more snow. My husband and I use his car more often in the winter as it is 4WD. We carpool to work, so my car has not been used since before the first storm. Hubby suggested going out today to clear the snow off my car and move it so our plow guy could clean up around it. Went out to find 2 or 3 more inches. And it is still snowing. Our guy had already plowed before I went out, but I called and he said he would come back later today or in the morning. One of the perks of paying a flat rate for the season to a guy who does a really good job.
I moved the two cars to the empty driveway across the street. He does that too, just so we can move our cars for him.
What a guy. But I think all of this will more than make up for last year when he maybe came out 3 times.

Nothing but cold rain here today. Some parts of northeast NJ got 3 feet of the stuff. I'm glad it missed us. I'm not ready for this even though I really know better not to be.
