0 He had a pretty good acting career with supporting, starring and later cameo rolls in film and 2 successful TV series. One really can't ask for more than that. The Andy Griffith Show ran for 8 years and Matlock for 9 years. 17 years on TV is no small accomplishment.

0 I heard a good amount of that cast loved NC so much they made permanent residence there.
