while I think all pedophiles should be shot on sight, I have to say I dislike how this writer made it seem like the entire Facebook staff was actively supporting the pedophiles.

I doubt it's even anything like that. I believe that those pedos would be a tiny minority of face-book users and that the majority of people on there would report those images to the local authorities and the face-book staff.

and Facebook tends to be quite FAST in shutting down undesirable stuff... in fact, I saw it myself firsthand how quickly they shut down things if malicious content is reported. so I believe that FB was simply not informed about it because no normal person would search for "kid sex" on there... and pedophiles do have their own code, like "PKSPC" which stands for Prepubescent kid sex porn collection.
I learned that the hard way once as a teenager when I was looking for some Anime about Red Riding Hood... and naively clicked on a video with that codename tagged on it. about puked my guts out, and then reported that shit.

knew it, another article out there says that facebook users reported this shit and FB shut them down like 10 times... but the pedophiles kept on setting up new groups each time. I suppose Facebook does share some responsibility for not calling the cops instantly instead of calling them after attempting to delete and ban the pedos 10 times. But at least FB tried to do something about it.

Facebook talks about how they combat the problem. The photo DNA thing is a good start but with millions of reports and them outsourcing to third party moderators I can see how it would take them FOREVER to take down nasty stuff yet be swift with others.

And some of the screencaps WND posted, like the Teen Bisexuals community page, sounds and looks like they were made by actual teens rather than actual pedophiles. So I can see how pages like that couldn't be taken down. After all, it's just a community for (possibly very confused) Teenagers to talk about their bisexual nature or whatever.
But I can see how pedophiles could easily exploit that, and somebody needs to tell those teen bisexuals looking for group support that they need to be more careful so that they don't end up being a victim of predators out there.

Yeah, parents also need to talk to their teenagers about being careful with their own facebook pages, and keeping it locked up so that only family and friends can view it. and also about not posting any provocative stuff, least some pedophile get off on it.

Facebook is a font of "bad stuff" and should just go away. They sell your information to the highest bidder, nothing, even private areas is protected and "friends" are everywhere on FB. Every dopey kid needs "everyone" they come in contact with to be their FB Friend.

Sorry, I won't rationalize anything regarding perverts and least of all I won't make any excuses for FB.
