Last Sunday (11-13-11) my guitarist bandmates and I went to the guitar show in Oaks,Pa (near Valley Forge).

Being a bassist I focused on the 4 stringers but there were some really notable and unique guitars there as well as some really cool gear.

I took a ton of pics (50). I'll post a few notables and link a slideshow of the entire 50 shots.

A 1934 Gibson Model L-12 acoustic. Take notice that it has a tremolo bar!

Two 60's vintage National guitars

Rickenbacker basses abound

Custom finished Les Paul

Rare Gibson SG double neck 6 string and bass combination.

Really cool looking custom made amplifier.
Kinda looks like something from the Flintstones if only it was a rock casing instead of wood! LOL

Custom flame body guitar

CF Martin tribute guitar

My brother had an SG bass. He bought it from Sam Ash in 1977. We found out he threw it in the garbage. Banghead

Next time there's a big guitar show, give us a call, LK... if we are not busy we'll take a drive out.

You had Matt drooling over the stuff here! Tell you what, the prices are not that out of line from what we were able to see.

Some of those are really cool looking, almost makes me wish I knew something about them.
I imagine they are like anything else. You know, when you get your hands on a well made shotgun, a fine cutting utensil, a bicycle that is put together right, burger cooked just right, a good buzz with no hangover, a cheap hooker with no clap, a pickup with lots of pickup.....oh fuck......I think I just wrote a new country song. wot

Did Robert Johnson ever use one? Somehow I get the notion that this was another Blues innovation that made its way over to rock.
