Seems they finally got the hippies out of Zucchotti Park today.

80 arrests for the few idiots who would rather stay and live in their own filth. They cannot sleep there after today. They are now in Foley Sq.

1000 cops came in to evict the hippies and give the park a cleaning. Fire hoses were used to clean hippie filth away.

Tents will no longer be tolerated.
Overnight stays will no longer be tolerated.

Let's see how this pans out now.

They had no clear message. They were protesting the wrong people on top of it. this should have taken place in front of Congress and the Senate, not Wall St.
I mean really? What did they want?
Government running their lives?
Government guaranteeing something for them?
Then you heard others who actually had valid points.
After awhile anarchists were guarding entrances handing out literature.

I even heard one news story that they were making deposits into one of the "big banks" like Wells Fargo or something! The very banks they are "against", they're putting donated money into. Eesh ...

Mayor Bloomberg is on TV now droning on and on about the clean up and evictions. He has been ignoring a court order or something of the like to accommodate these occupiers but the law states the park is open to everyone to enjoy and they are preventing anyone else from using that park. So he did what should have been done instead of "waiting for the cold weather" to do his job for him.

Great - the National Lawyers Guild has determined that they can go back to the park and put up tents. There is a hearing to take place with the NYC lawyers around 11 AM i think.

Their latests plan was to block traffic in and out of the Holland Tunnel. Assholes.

That park is a public use zone. That means there is no limitation on when it could be used, unlike city owned and run parks which close at dusk.

The noon news will let me know if the city got that injunction reversed. I will keep you posted.

The city should sell the park to Exxon/Mobile and they could put a big storage tank there so the hippies would no longer fit in the park.

Those fucking hippie wannabes should try getting a goddamn job, you know it actually takes up so much of your time that you can't camp in a park for months at a time, and you can actually earn a living instead of protesting for a welfare check.

Now that would be a laugh-riot if that happened.

Judge ruled that free speech does not extend to tarps and squatting.

While cleaning up the mess, prison style weapons were found all over the place. This caused Bloomberg to delay allowing them back in as well. He ignored the order until it could be cleaned up and policed and monitored for such low-life behavior.
