I had a Nissan pickup that lasted me 3 weeks before the head gasket blew (but it DID have over 200,000 miles on it) and being as I only paid $250.00 for it I just scrapped it.

The Subaru wagon was decent for just over a year and I put 25,000 miles on it which brought the total to 211,000 before the engine crapped.

The 96 Plymouth Voyager I currently have has 235,000 on the clock and it's still humming along nicely (ok so it leaks and burns a little oil). So who says there are no decent US vehicles?

Prob the best non US made vehicle I ever owned was a VW diesel pickup. Little bitty 96 cubic inch 4 cyl 48 HP engine. That little bastard could haul 2 old washing machines (the old type with the concrete weights in the bottom) and a dryer up a 9.5 % 2 mile long grade with no problem! It got 58 mpg highway and 40 around town. The shock tower on the right front rotted off which made me park it. The engine still ran well though and it had damn near 300,000 miles!

Every Ford I ever owned was a $$$ pit for me.

I've had the best results with GM products (Chevy, Pontiac, Olds, Buick, Cadillac) <------ had at least one of each.

I've owned more Chevy's than you can count. Funny thing......I could buy an old POS Chevy that was nothing but problems for someone and have great luck with it. Must be that the Chevys know I love them!
