We thought since No1 son got stitched up on his driving test we would get him more practice and a familar car to drive at his next test.

So his dad called the insurance company for some quotes on the Fiat 500.

So, what was the quote for full insurance?

£600
£3000
£16,000
£27,000

To help, the car is a 1.2cc pop (standard model no extra's) 5 months old.

I'll go with the £16,000 - only because I know the insanity it requires to GET a license to drive there and with his accident, fault of his or not - I am betting like here they're going to hit you up with an insane price for a yearly policy.

I'm assuming that the prices are yearly and not for 6 months (like they have here!) and the Fiat 500 is a classic car? Do they charge more for insurance on classics there?

£3000 was a quote, but not what Mark wanted for Philip to drive.
No Joan you're not right, but it is a quote, for something else!

He has a good bicycle and now a nice cycle route has been put in by the council he is going to use it for work. He was cycling before his accident and now he has been going to the gym he is fit enough to ride again.

His company have offered him a parking place but clearly while he hasn't got a driving license it is a hollow offer. He will be using his motorbike to go on holiday afterall Sad

OK Hold it..... you mean he has a motorcycle license but not a drivers license?

Did he apply for both at the same time?
You know I don't even know if you can have a motorcycle license without having your drivers license here first!

How much more or less difficult is it to get your car license vs motorcycle license in England?
Is he going to have to take 5000 tests like you did for your MC License?
