made the sales kid cry! I love it.

Tim cringes when he sees me walk in.

He was so young, I think my son was older than him.  I might have been his first attempted sale.  Claimed he would 'run my credit' to see if I could take a ride.  I told him how we were going to do it, I ride, if I want to buy after getting a good quote, THEN we would talk about credit.  He went to check with his manager 'to see if we can do that' and I told him I'd walk otherwise.  Never saw him again after the manager came out.  Even the manager had to find me a bike I wanted, have it assembled because it was still in the crate, I rode it, we talked terms, then we ran my credit!

Yeah, out here the salesman comes with you on a test drive for cars. Not so sure how they do it for bikes. I know you hate HD so hush - but when I bought mine, I had the chance to test drive every model out by the plant in York, Pa. Every labor day weekend they have an event where you can ride every bike. I really liked the bigger bikes but I picked the smaller one because it was the one I can lift on my own should I drop it.
