No revelation there.
There are so many residential sections that look like post war ghettos and buildings like the Fisher bodyworks are being reclaimed by nature.
The atmosphere is such that even on a bright sunny day it seems so grey.
Pretty depressing in my opinion.
Not even close. It has nothing to do with the blight, in fact most of the city is making a comeback with gentrification. It's just a sucky place. Roads are terrible and there is no weight restriction for trucks so there is no hope of roads being any good.
We were in Ford country - Dearborn Heights. It's kind of nice there.
The place is slow. So miserably slow that if I lived there I'd most likely be arrested on a regular basis for disturbing the peace.
There's nothing to do. Seriously nothing to do and the food is utterly disgusting. You cannot get anything healthy on a menu. NO ONE offers fruit. FFS no fruit.
There is not one bag of chocolate Twizzlers to be found west of Harrisburg, Pa.
EVERYONE IS FAT. Grossly overweight. Why? Because they have not gotten out of the mentality of "poor people food". Everything is carb heavy, potatoes, bread, gravy on everything. And goddamn they cannot cook a steak, even in a chain like Longhorn.
Car washes - you gotta do that yourself, no full service.
Had to pump my own gas. That's a damn crime. LOL
You think WalMart has some freaky people? Try Meijer's.
Tried to go for some fun with GoKarts. Nope. On general principle we walked out. They wanted $8 / per 5 minutes. If NJ is cheaper on that shit, Michigan has no excuse. No wonder why the place was empty.
On a good note I got to meet Angie and her husband Chris (remember Angie from Mock?) - That was a friendship that was so comfortable that it felt like we knew each other (offline) forever.
