I had someone try that with Daisy and her papers. They had a hard time finding her a home and when they found out I had her, they wanted $100 for the papers. Fuck you. She's spayed, the papers are moot now. Same for a Morgan horse I bought years ago. I reported them to the Morgan Horse Association and they lost their permits to breed them for that. They frown upon that kind of shady dealing.
So, I talked to the vet today and he said after 48 hours if she didn't 'get steady' by then, this is permanent neurological damage. If I had "silly money" to waste we can do CAT Scans and MRI's and if something is found do brain surgery, but that simply amounts to animal cruelty when you come down to it. He agrees with me not telling the regular vet we got her because they'd try to insist on $2K worth of useless testing and all.
He said once she gains a little weight and is as 100% as she's going to get to bring her in so he can admire his handiwork. He said she was near death when I found her. He wasn't sure she was going to make it at all.
Well, now we have a wobbly cat. She's wobbly walking and the hardest thing for her is looking up. That's when she outright topples over. Good thing I don't have stairs in the house. She's a love though. Follows me around all day and takes over Matt's lap at night.
