OK so i went looking for aerial views of my old school. If you want to see some for yourself and want to be able to zoom in, look for either Tottenville High School, Staten Island or it's physical address of 100 Luten Ave, Staten Island, NY.
So much has changed! There is a painted divider down the middle of the street now and cement separators at the lights. The corners have lights! We didn't have any lights even at the major roads of Amboy Rd and Hylan Blvd.
More houses on the north side of the street!
The Spot is still there though. The Spot is where we spent many days getting wasted instead of going to school. On any school day you would literally see a cloud of smoke over where the kids hung out. There were at least 50 of us in there at any given time getting wasted.
In the photo with the glow/circle if you click to let it go bigger, you will see a bit of a path and 'berm' there. Now look closely at each side of that path for the original height of that berm! Apparently it's gone down quite a bit naturally and then more from use. This path also leads to Wolf's Pond Park which was another place for fun.
In the aerial view image, the squiggly lines were where they drag raced the cars. That mapped out about 1/4 mile if I remember correctly.
I stand corrected on the amount of auto shops we had. From the looks of it, it looks like 10 and I can clearly see 8 bays open in the photo. So sad to see so many faggot cars there now. All up and down Eylandt street and in the shop lots it would be filled with some goddamn awesome muscle cars. Now you got the 'average joe commuter' wheels there.
